The School for Young children offers preschool classes for children from 15-months-old to 5 years-old. SYC operates along with the typical school calendar with the school year starting in the fall and continuing through spring. Classes are each morning from 9:00am – 12:00pm. SYC also offers Early Morning Care at an additional cost for parents who need care from 8:00 am until the school day begins.
ENROLLMENT AND ELIGIBILITY
Fall Registration is first opened to current SYC students and Lenoir Presbyterian Church members, and then open to all others. Registration continues until all spots are filled. Registration is accepted upon the receipt of a completed registration form and payment of a $75/ non-refundable fee. SYC follows the public-school system requirements for class placement based on the child’s age on August 31 for enrollment in the program. More information is available on each class listed below.

- Parents with 2 or more children enrolled simultaneously receive a $10 discount monthly for 1 child.
- Scholarship Applications are available for parents needing tuition assistance.
- Early Morning Care fees are $3 daily.
- Snack is provided for an additional $10 per month.
